In 1998, a small group of compassionate people with a big vision joined together and founded New Hope Clinic to give the uninsured a chance to receive basic medical care. That first year they operated out of a single room and treated 38 patients.

From this modest beginning, New Hope Clinic has come a long way. We outgrew our rented office space in Sentry Business Park years ago, and moved to a new facility in Boiling Spring Lakes in June 2010. We now operate out of this 4,000 sq. ft. facility in Boiling Spring Lakes five days per week, and enrollment services are offered at a satellite location in Shallotte.

With the December 2023 expansion of adult Medicaid in NC to cover more adults yet there being a limited number of primary care providers accepting new Medicaid patients in our service area, NHC started serving adults with full Medicaid coverage in addition to continuing to care for residents who are uninsured.

The Clinic provides high quality primary medical care, as well as a full range of healthcare services including specialty care, dental care, individualized patient education, and prescription medications. We also partner with other organizations to provide additional services.

A small staff and over 130 volunteers, including doctors, dentists, NPs, PAs, pharmacists, nurses, medical & dental assistants, and administrative support personnel, contribute over 8,000 volunteer hours to provide over 5,000 patient encounters annually.
